Getting pretty excited to run the Lincoln half marathon on Sunday! I'll be rising before the sun to be at the starting line at 7 am. After months of training, I'm ready to get this checked off the list. My motivation throughout the race: the bountiful breakfast buffet that will await me, complete with french toast, hash browns, fruit, and omelettes.

Blind Impression Letterpress Stationery
{custom letterpress stationery, set of 20}
I've been offering this custom stationery in my shop for a few months now, and they have become quite the popular item! Just thought I'd share a few custom note cards that I have completed so far. Using metal type to create a blind impression on 100% cotton paper, these note cards display a very simplistic, yet elegant design. It's always so fun to see how the purchaser will use the notes...as a gift, for their business, or even for themselves.

Botanical Lovelies
{images by botany factory via mixed plate}
Oh, how I wish I could get my hands on one of these terrariums. This would be the perfect finishing touch to my office. And kitchen. And living room. Created by Katie Goldman Macdonald of Botany Factory, these terrariums are currently available in San Francisco. I'm hoping there will soon be a way to transport these to my neck of the woods!

Garden Party Letterpress Cards
{garden tools letterpress notes, set of 5}
The nice weather has me contemplating what to plant in my garden this year. Every year, for the past 3 years, I have tried planting strawberries, but have yet to see one single berry prosper. This year, I decided I'm going to try a hanging basket of strawberries. Maybe keeping them off the ground away from all of the critters will prove to be fruitful. Since it's not quite time to bring out the garden tools, these note cards will have to tide me over. These garden tool note cards are now available in the Paper Lovely shop. A perfect gift for your garden lover friend.

J. Crew Spring
{images via jcrew}
As I was flipping through the latest J. Crew catalog over the weekend, I not only came across many articles of clothing that should find their way into my closet, but was also taken by the beautiful imagery showcased in the catalog. These soft, dreamy images made me want to take a little hop inside the pages of the catalog and vacation there for a few days. Or weeks.

Wonderful Weekend Wishes
{image via rayani melo via flickr}
Time for the weekend once again. I'm happy that this weekend won't be as busy as the last, but I still wouldn't classify it as relaxing. A bowling shower, another long run, and maybe a little bit of office organizing. I have some new prints I'll be posting next week, but until then....hope your weekend is a good one!

April Showers Letterpress Notes
{april showers letterpress notes, set of 5}
Looks like spring showers are in our forecast for the rest of the week. Although I thoroughly enjoy my sunny days, I don't mind a rainy day once in a while for a chance to nestle in with a cup of coffee. This note card illustration was actually created while I was sitting in a coffee shop one rainy day in Chicago, gazing out the window at all of the people with their umbrellas. Available in the Paper Lovely shop.

I've got my eye on these delightful little cardigans from Nick and Mo. Perfect for spring weather. I just love the detailing that makes up both of these pieces. So sweet.

Wonderful Weekend Wishes
image by gabrielle kai photography
Well, this is going to be one busy weekend, so I thought I'd stop and smell the flowers while I could. Two weddings. A bridal shower. An 11 mile run (1/2 marathon training!). Boy, I'm exhausted already. I may need a weekend to my weekend.

Ferris Wheel Mini Escort Cards
Just finished up these escort card letterpress minis for a wedding taking place in May in Austin, Texas. The bride and groom are having a sort of fair themed wedding, so this ferris wheel illustration fit just perfectly with their theme. The bride is having the names of the guests and their respective table numbers hand written in calligraphy on each tag. Should be a beautiful finished product!

You're Sweet Waffle Cone Cards
{you're sweet waffle cone cards, set of 5}
Ice cream is my absolute fav. I've been known to house 7 different flavors in our freezer at one time. So, of course, as I was brainstorming new design ideas, ice cream came to the forefront of my mind. Now, new in the shop are these You're Sweet Waffle Cone cards. Send to that special someone and give them a little boost in their day!

Elva Fields Necklaces
Such a stunning collection of necklaces from Elva Fields. Just perfect for a night out on the town. I'm especially tickled by the last necklace of the bunch. Don't be blinded by its beauty...it's functional too. Upon closer inspection, this necklace opens into a powder compact so you can look your best at any moment.

Wonderful Weekend Wishes
{image by shelba via flickr}
Looking forward to enjoying the sunshine this weekend. I've been sick with a cold this whole week, but today I'm finally starting to be able to breathe through both nostrils again! I might even break out the old bicycle and take it for a spin to celebrate. Have a wonderful weekend!

Tiptoeing through the Tulips
{tulip letterpress folded notes, set of 5}
My tulips are popping up all around the yard, and I am getting so excited to see their pretty little faces. A sure sign of spring, indeed. In the meantime, I'll have to settle for feasting my eyes on these new tulip letterpress cards, now available in the shop.

Vintage Style Swimwear
{images 1. la drama queen; 2 & 3. modcloth}
I'm ready to sit poolside. In fact, I've been ready since about mid-January. The nice weather we've been having is making this feel more like a reality, so I decided to see what was happening in the swim wear department and happened to come across some very cute suits! I'm especially loving these vintage style swim suits from LA Drama Queen and ModCloth.
